At the Butthole Surfers show in San Antonio a couple of weeks ago, Gibby Haynes summed up the entire evening in five words: “We like to make noise.” So does Idaho’s Jeff Martin, except his noise is of the languid, sustained, ringing-guitar-chord variety; the sound of Neil Young taking a meeting with lan Curtis. Even though they’re from L.A., this spud’s still for you. Lifter opens.
