IDAHO

THE PALMS

Refreshingly, Idaho appropriate a lyrical structure from the early Minneapolis sound (think Replacements) while deliberately resisting a temptation to mimic. John Berry’s aggrieved bellow on “You Are Here” is sincere and soulful. “Creep” echoes the most compelling elements of The Pixies and Pavement; relentless, sonic chord progressions which neatly flirt with self-indulgency.
