LIME LIZARD

Idaho come from the Californian school of chillingly direct, harmonically charged songwriting that has already given us the awe inducing Red House Painters. From the evidence of ‘The Palms’ EP (Quigley) (a rich purple), Idaho use guitars as more that merely a framework for Jeff Martin’s measured basso, but as atmosphere builders in their own right. Such expansive dramatizations do begin to pall by ‘You Are There’, the last of the four songs.
