Jeff Martin's voice sounds so dazed and confused the first time round that I think my stereo's playing too slow. I persevere, on the basis that an accompanying note tells me I’ll love it, And slowly it dawns on me that the gargantuan sounds of 'Creep' • no relation to Radiohead's -are in fact devastatingly, achingly beautiful, similar to both Codeine (the band and the drug, l presume) and Red House Painters playing Black Sabbath.
