Idaho’s third album perfectly expresses emotions and moods that seem as private and quiet as a cloudy Sunday. The resonance of Three Sheets lies not in its complexity, but in the precise touch of Jeff Martin’s guitar and his sonorous voice; he’s been compared to Kurt Cobain and Neil Young, and rightly so, if you add a touch of Cowboy Junkies mellow. It seems silly to single out tracks on an album like this, so just have faith that this disc offers an hour’s worth of graceful poetry and murky melodies.
