Idaho

Year After Year

(CD, 1993, Caroline, Rock)

Moody, brooding, pensive pop/rock that is both memorable and soothing. Idaho’s arrangements are almost orchestral in their layered complexity. Fortunately, the songs do anything but get lost in the production, and the end result is a trance-inducing collection of unforgettable tunes. The band recorded this in their own studio, which might explain why this disc has such a personalized sound to it My guess is that Year After Year will still sound good years and YEARS from now. The guitars will tear your heart into shreds.
