Year After Year
Idaho have nothing to do with Keanu Reeves. Not only are they very good, but they’re also very mellow and very sad - not a stupid grin in sight.
This is music to slit your wrists to, of the very highest calibre - an album full of tortured souls and intense sadness. Real heartfelt pain carved into touching, quite beautiful song.
The music itself is a concoction of intricate guitars, soft feedback, all coupled with a floating nonchalant, passionate, tenor vocal.
Other comparable bands are Red House Painters, Codeine, American Music Club and Mazzy Star. Idaho are easily up to these standards.
SEE FOR YOURSELF, IDAHO PLAY GLASGOW CATHOUSE, TUESDAY 16 NOVEMBER.
